“Birmingham International Airport Ltd has been using an automated PA system supplied by Microwatt for a number of years now and it has become indispensable to Terminal Control staff.
The system takes events from our FIDS and populates a gateway database with the relevant fields that are to be “announced” over the PA. The gateway then passes the required information to the Auto PA Announcer which simply “reads out” the files which it receives in the relevant zones that are also passed from the gateway.
