DTV is an infotainment system that greatly improves the passenger experience whilst in the airport, and has a bonus of creating a revenue stream from advertising or sponsorship.
It’s simple: The flatscreen TV unit takes the destination from the Flight Information System, selects the relevant broadcastquality film clips from a library of over 8,000 titles, and shows a 5-minute film that’s tailored to their destination. A presenter introduces information such as transport, attractions and ‘what to expect’ on arrival, which can be a stimulating and engaging way for passengers to spend their time waiting at gate. It means the holiday doesn’t start when you reach the beach, but when you arrive at Gatwick. Departures TV switches itself off when the gate is unused, and the system is designed to be self-funding, and profitable within months.
ARRIVALS TV
Whilst your passengers are waiting for their baggage to arrive, they can be entertained & informed by Arrivals TV. A short film about the Airport & it’s city. Interspersed with traffic, weather and other information. A service and via sponsorship/advertising a revenue earner.
